Crafty Kiddos - Pumpkin Puff

Another day, another craft . . .

Recently, my girls made this adorable pumpkin puffs.   If you want to make one, all you need is

• An Extra Large Clover Pom Pom Maker
• Orange Yarn (Though I think it would look cute with an orange blend too.)
• A green pipe cleaner (You could also use brown or black)
• Scissors

Didn't it turn out cute?  The girls keep them in their rooms and love to toss them around.  They are so soft and fluffy that I don't even mind.

I wanted to glue on some googly eyes or felt faces, but they didn't.  If you try them with your kids and do the faces, please let me know how they turn out!

Five years ago this morning I gave birth to my Pumpkin . . . my Halloween baby that has been full of a few tricks, but mostly treats.  :o)  With beautiful brown eyes and a smile that reaches all the way to her soul, I thank God every day for giving this precious gift to me.   Happy Birthday Pumpkin!

A gentle reminder from my Pumpkin

As my dedicated readers know, my New Year's Resolution was to be more positive. I must admit that as of late I had fallen into my old patterns a bit. In fact, today I was just complaining about the fact that I have worn a hole into my favorite pair of jeans. When my youngest heard me talking about it, she came over, looked at the hole, and said,

"Just think mommy, now if your knee ever itches it will be super easy to scratch it!"

With her smile and positive attitude, I couldn't help but feel better. Sometimes I feel like my kids teach me more than I could ever teach them. . . and I am grateful!
